Efficient forest machines for several industries

Over the years, Fransgård has developed a wide range of machines for both small and large forestry jobs. Machines are developed with special focus on the following customer groups: 

• Farmers engaged in forestry as a secondary occupation or for their own use, 
• State and municipalities that have forest districts, roads and parks
• Forest owners who own estates, private
• Forestry contractors, including machinery contractors

Fransgård machines are built to our goal of building strong and functional machines that make forestry - even in hard-to-reach areas - easy and efficient. That's why our machines come standard with a number of great built-in features that make everyday forestry work easier. We also offer a range of optional extras for specific tasks. The machines are very suitable for hard-to-reach forest areas, where minimal impact on the forest floor and the environment is desired.

Log grapple

Fransgård's log grapple series is designed to easily and quickly lift, stack and load cut logs. The front-mounted log grapple provides a clear working area and facilitates workflow. 

With a strong construction and simple functions, you get an efficient machine for handling cut logs. The log grapple completes our range of forest machines that make work in the forest easier.

Winch

Fransgård's winch series is designed with a very easy and simple operation, which means a new user quickly becomes familiar with the operation of the winch. The single and robust construction of the mechanical wear parts makes the winch very cheap to operate and maintain. 

The steel wire is the most stressed abrasive and its lifetime can be extended by using chains for mounting around the log. The sliding clutch ensures that the winch and tractor are not unnecessarily overloaded by pulls greater than the winch's capacity.

Grapple Tongs

Fransgård's grapple tongs series is a solid and efficient machine designed to grab and move felled or freed logs out of forest area with tongs. Our grapple tongs are very useful, especially when the logs are lying shoulder to shoulder after a storm. The machine is efficient for fast moving of whole or cut logs.

The flexible suspension of the log grapple makes it possible to pull logs out of hard-to-reach areas, while the boom allows the logs to be stacked. The top models also have a winch fitted, so you have a 2-in--1 machine.

Forest grapples

Fransgård Maskinfabrik's FG-120 and FG-120S forest grapples are manufactured in the well-known Fransgård quality at our own factory in Denmark. The two models are suitable for handling logs. Two parallel bars ensure that the grapple closes straight and does not dig deeper into the forest floor.

FG-120S is equipped with open forks, which minimises the amount of dirt in the load. The FG-120 is equipped with an intermediate piece between the forks, making it particularly strong to withstand the twisting that occurs with loads with uneven weight distribution.

Woodchippers

This tractor-mounted pellet woodchipper with a 360° console system can handle logs up to 27 cm in diameter. It is prepared for crane mounting to feed the machine. Your work is made easier by using, for example, a forestry crane. The two feed rollers are powered by the tractor’s hydraulics. The machine’s sturdy main frame provides a stable and reliable chipping process. Each feed roller is driven by its own hydraulic motor, and the feed speed can be adjusted stepless as needed. Together with the rotation guard, this ensures optimal adjustment to the task at hand. The feed rollers are remote-controlled and can be operated from the same control station as, for example, a mounted forestry crane.
